Phil Wilson-Gold Miner Visit

Phil Wilson came to Hawea Flat to share his knowledge about gold. He showed us some gold and passed it around the class.-Liam



 

Today Phil Wilson from Queensbury came to our school to talk about gold, and to answer some of our questions. He told us how gold miners made a living by searching for gold. There are all different types of gold such as heavy gold, soft gold, red gold and white gold.-Rata

Today Phil Wilson from Queensbury came to Hawea Flat School to talk to different classrooms and talked about gold and gold miners. He came in with a piece (seen above), and said if you flattened it, it would be the size of our classroom floor. He also said gold miners had no houses, but lived in rocks, cave and trees.-Ashley
