We had fun sharing our stories about hiding. We hope you enjoy them

Hide and seek
As my mum was counting, I climbed on the shelf to hide. Clip, clop, I heard her shoes coming. Hiding under the towels, I felt scared and curled up even more. I quickly turn my head to see what she was doing. She looked under the chair, then in the washer, then she looked up and found me.

Hide and seek
 “1234,” I heard my Dad counting slow. I heard footsteps coming closer, while I was lying under the covers of my bed. My arms were flat and my legs were flat too. When I wasn’t looking my Dad sat on me. He felt something moving under him. He stood up. He flicked the covers back. “Found you!” he said.

Running to the flax bush, I hear my brother counting. Then he says, “ready or not, here I come.” Hiding in the flax, I feel my heart beat fast. Standing up, holding the flax, I spy on Otis and my Dad, wondering when they will find me.   I stand as quietly as I can. I listen for the right time to say “Boo,” but they never found me.       By Harry

My sister was counting. I was hiding in the tree hut. I was lying down on my back. Eva saw my head. She said, “Boo,” and I said “Boo,” back.

 “18, 20, 23, ready or not, here I come.”   I tiptoed up the stairs. I ran into my little sister’s bed bunk. I pulled the covers over me. I was lying straight trying not to breathe. I could hear Poppy calling’ “ready or not, here I come.” I waited for Poppy to find me, but she couldn’t. I had to come downstairs.

I was running as fast as I could to get under my bed. I curled up into a ball with my hands by my cheeks. I could hear my friend walking into my room and he shouted “Found you!”

18, 19, 20 I heard my little sister say, “ready or not, here I come.” Lying under my bed, I felt my heart beating. My sister came into my room. She looked under my bed. “Found you,” said my sister. “My turn ,” I said.

 “1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11. Ready or not here I come,” my brother Ollie said. I ran to my play hut and climbed in the wardrobe. I could hear my brother run over to the play hut and open the door. He looked under the wardrobe, then Ollie looked in the wardrobe. “Found you,” Ollie said.

I ran away from the counting … “8, 9, 10, coming ready or not.”  I raced to the attic. I picked up the box and hid the box and shut it and listened for footsteps. I heard the attic door opening. My heart beating, I heard footsteps coming closer towards the box. “Found you,” said Mum.

Running to the couch, I lie straight and stay still under a blanket. Dad was counting, “ 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10, ready or not, here I come.”
He looked in the pantry. I heard him open the door. Then he looked under the blanket. “Found you’” he said.

When I was running away, I heard my sister counting, “8,9,10.” She couldn’t find me. I was curled up under her bed. The boxes were covering the front of me. I put a sleeping bag beside me and put my head on it. I tried to stay still. It smelt like carpet and sleeping bags.   Then she found me. “Found you,” she said.         By Holly

“1,2,3,4,5,” Rossco counts as I run away to my tree hut. Lying down, I curl up against the dirt with my arms over my head. Rossco stomped past my tree hut and he didn’t find me. I jumped out and said, “Boo!” and Rossco fell over.

 “1,2,3,4,5,6,” counted my brother called Harry. He counted very fast-as fast as he could. I was hiding under my bed. I was lying as flat as I could on my back. My brother found me under the bed. “Found you,” said Harry.

When I was running to my wardrobe, I heard my brother counting. I was in a ball hiding, waiting for him to find me. My brother walked straight in and out of my room. I was looking through a gap in the door. In the end my brother did not find me.

Anna and I ran away from Pip. “1,2,3, here I come,” shouted Pip. I hid in Mum’s     
closet. My body was lying flat on the floor and I was on my back, with my arms straight down beside me. I heard Pip calling, “Where are you?”  She was near me, I wriggled and Pip went’ “Boo! You’re in.” Pip and I went to find Anna. I told her, “I’m in.”       By Kate

Running to the bed that Mum and Dad sleep in, I climb under and curl up into a ball. When my Dad  hopped on the bed, he felt a lump. “I found you.”
“That doesn’t count.”   “Yes it does.” “Ok, you found me.”

18,19,20, ready or not, here I come.” While my Dad was counting slow, I ran as fast as I could to get under the blanket on the couch. My foot was hanging out. I put my foot back in the blanket and then my Dad found me.  “Found you,” he said.

I lie flat with my arms down beside me on the bed. Then I hear my brother clomping down the hallway.  He said, “Found you.” I jumped up and said, “Boo!” back to him. He jumped up and got a fright.

“18,19,20, ready or not, here I come,” Mum said loudly.  I ran away very fast and crawled under the bed. I was lying straight on my back and I was not relaxed. Mum found me straight away because I had put the light on. I heard footprints sneak into my bedroom and over to the bed where I was. She knew that I was there. “Found you,” she said quietly.

 “12, 13, 14, ready or not,” says my Dad. I was hiding behind the wardrobe door. I was squishing in the wardrobe. My arms were circling over my head. My legs were squashed close into my body.  I heard Dad’s feet stomping on the ground, “I found you Lily.”

 “The games on!” Josh counts, “1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, ready or not, here I come.” I hid undr my play hut. I peeked out the side. I spy at Josh. I saw Josh walking to the flax bush. I was not there. Then I saw Josh walk to the house and go into the house. I did not know where he was going. The I saw Josh coming to the play hut.  “Gaga,” I felt something tugging at my T-shirt.
